In my previous post, I was sad to see that Apple didn’t allow background processes in their upcoming version of their iPhone OS as this meant that I have to check each of my applications on a regular basis to check for updates. I even suggested a simple background process scheduling.

But! No need for all of this… After posting that entry I stumbled across the information that the iPhone OS will support push notifications for applications, which fulfills all of my needs… Hooray! I promise to do a more thorough research next time…
